DUFFY - The Orphans are gritty girls that are neglected and vulnerable, yet basically honest and lovable. Duffy is a leader. Sings in: “Hard-Knock Life,” “Hard-Knock Life - Reprise,” “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile,” and “Tomorrow Reprise”



MISS HANNIGAN - Miss Hannigan is a definite “has-been.” Her distaste for her job should ooze from every line she delivers. Has to change from being mean to falsely loving in a split second. Sings in: “Little Girls,” “Little Girls – Reprise,” “Easy Street,” and “Easy Street – Reprise”



GRACE FARRELL - Grace Farrell is Oliver Warbucks’s calm, cool and classy secretary. She appears businesslike when dealing with Miss Hannigan and Warbucks, yet maternal toward Annie. Sings in: “I Think I’m Going to Like it Here,” “N.Y.C.,” and “Tomorrow – Reprise”



ROOSTER HANNIGAN & LILY ST. REGIS - Rooster Hannigan and Lily St. Regis are the comic team who claim to be Annie’s parents but are revealed to be Miss Hannigan’s swindling brother and his sleazy girlfriend in disguise. These characters play off each other constantly. Sings in: "Easy Street" and "Easy Street - Reprise."



OLIVER WARBUCKS - In the beginning, Warbucks is awkwardly affectionate toward Annie and then finds himself completely charmed by her.Sings in: “N.Y.C.,” “You Won’t Be an Orphan for Long,” “I Don’t Need Anything But You,” and “Tomorrow – Reprise."



SANDY - Sandy is the stray dog that Annie adopts. Sandy has no lines but has the capability of earning spontaneous applause when he sings “Tomorrow” with Annie!



DRAKE AND SERVANTS - Drake and the Servants are the loyal domestic help of Oliver Warbucks. Your kids will have fun perfecting precision steps, nods and curtsies.



APPLE SELLER - The Apple Seller opens Scene 2 speaking to Annie and giving her an apple. Sings in: “N.Y.C” and “Tomorrow – Reprise”



LT. WARD - Lt. Ward is the policeman who questions Annie about Sandy, the stray dog. Sings in: “N.Y.C” and “Tomorrow – Reprise”



BERT HEALY - Bert Healy is the classic announcer on a radio show of the era. Sings in: "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile."



MR. BUNDLES - Bundles is the laundryman for the orphanage.



PRESIDENT FRANKLIN D ROOSEVELT - President Franklin D. Roosevelt is enlisted by Oliver Warbucks to help locate Annie’s parents. He will be pushed onstage in a wheelchair and delivers a momentous line about “A New Deal!” Sings in "Tomorrow - Reprise."



LOUIS HOWE - Louis Howe is President Roosevelt’s trustworthy aide.



STAR(S)-TO-BE - Star(s)-To-Be is a glamorous diva in the number “N.Y.C.”



USHERETTE- The Usherette ushers Warbucks, Annie and Grace to their seats in the Roxy at the end of “N.Y.C.”



NEW YORKERS - Some ideas for these roles are: street vendors, homeless people, tourists, taxi drivers, newsboys, pickpockets, street cleaners, mothers and children, additional stars-to-be, and news reporters. Sing in "N.Y.C."

Annie Jr. Auditions



Are you ready for auditions? Don't miss our first Drama Club meeting on January 8th when we'll preview the musical & hand out CDs.   Be prepared to audition on January 15th.

AUDITION INFORMATION:
  • Be ready to list your top 3 favorite roles.
  • You may be called to read/sing for only 1 role, but don't be discouraged!
  • Callbacks will be during the school day on January 16th.
  • Some roles may be considered for either male/female actors.
  • Sandy (dog) will be cast from FTMS Drama Club.
  • Dancing/singing/acting combination will be a heavy consideration for many major roles.
  • Few roles will be double cast in this musical.
  • Cast list will be posted no later than January 23rd.
